The Ruby Ribbed Solid Terp Pillar is 3.5mm in diameter and 24mm in height and is designed to optimize concentrate movement, heat dispersion and vaporization within compatible terp slurpers and quartz bangers. The slender solid ruby body has raised ribs forming controlled gaps between the pillar and the walls of the heated chamber. They call this ribbed shape a cirrus terp pillar as well.

Smooth terp pillars just push most of the concentrate around the quartz surface, while the ribbed design catches and releases small amounts of concentrate over and over as it rotates. There are gaps between each rib that let the oil to flow around the pillar and remain spread out along the walls of the banger. This enhances the contact of the concentrate with heated surfaces and can encourage more consistent vaporization.

The result is like the difference between a comb and a solid brush. The concentrate is moved by a smooth pillar as a bigger mass, and a ribbed profile divides and spreads it into smaller portions. Deeper ribbed channels cause more separation and more pronounced concentrate distribution than a lightly etched pillar.
