How This Converter Works
Your current working temperature becomes the anchor. We assign both setups a practical thermal correction based on coil diameter, coil style, heat coverage, construction, heat path and fit, then translate by the difference between those corrections.
Coil-size calibration: this converter assumes comparable heater-wire construction across the coil family, so larger-diameter coils receive a modest controller correction to account for the additional resistance-wire length and reduced available wattage at the same controller voltage. Heat-soak time is calculated separately.

E-Nail Setup Temperature Converter Disclaimer: Results are practical starting estimates, not laboratory measurements. The coil-size calibration assumes comparable heater-wire construction across the coil family and assumes the manufacturer does not fully compensate resistance/wattage as coil diameter increases. Controller temperature does not necessarily equal the exact concentrate-contact surface temperature. Actual results vary with measured coil resistance and wattage, controller calibration, coil fit, heater construction, thermocouple position, nail/banger geometry, material, airflow, dab size and inhalation style. For a Nectar Collector Nail selected as the target setup, the converter uses a dedicated +100°F base translation and then adds the coil-size electrical differential. Begin with the suggested setting and adjust in 25°F increments. This converter will not recommend above 700°F.
