Torching Dab Temp To Enail Temp Calculator
E-Nail Temperature Calculator
What Temperature Should I Set My E-Nail To?
Tell us how you normally dab with a torch. We will estimate how your quartz temperature changes throughout your dab and translate that experience into a practical E-Nail starting temperature.
Moving From A Torch To An E-Nail?
A torch-heated banger continuously cools while you inhale, while an E-Nail continuously supplies heat. Because of this, simply matching the temperature at the instant your dab touches the quartz can make an E-Nail feel hotter than your normal torch dab.
This calculator estimates the temperature throughout your entire inhale and uses the upper 75% point of that temperature range as your effective torch-dabbing temperature.

Larger bangers generally contain more quartz mass and retain heat longer. Not sure? Tap the ? above.
Thicker quartz has more thermal mass and generally loses heat more slowly. Not sure? Tap the ? above.
Wall thickness changes the amount of heated quartz available to store thermal energy. Not sure? Tap the ? above.
Larger room-temperature dabs absorb more thermal energy when they contact quartz. Not sure? Tap the ? above.
Longer dabs allow the quartz to continue cooling, so inhale length helps us estimate the temperature you experience throughout the entire dab.

Quartz bucket bangers begin at approximately the same temperature as your calculated effective torch-dabbing temperature.
Your Recommended E-Nail Starting Point
Your recommendation is based on the temperature your quartz experiences throughout your entire dab — not just the instant your concentrate first touches the banger.

Instead of using only your hottest starting temperature, we use the point 75% of the way from the end temperature back toward the starting temperature. This gives more weight to the hotter early portion of the dab without assuming the banger stays that hot throughout the entire inhale.

Terp Slurper E-Nail Technique
Wait 3–4 full minutes after the controller reaches temperature. A terp slurper contains substantially more quartz geometry than a standard bucket, so the middle chamber requires additional time to heat.
The middle chamber is not intended to be the main vaporization surface. Heating this section helps concentrate that travels upward remain mobile so it can slide back down toward the hotter bottom dish and continue vaporizing.
Inhale lightly and slowly. Pulling too hard can draw concentrate into the middle chamber faster than the bottom dish can vaporize it.

E-Nail Temperature Calculator Disclaimer: Results are estimates intended to provide a practical starting point when transitioning from torch dabbing to an E-Nail. Controller temperature does not necessarily equal the exact concentrate-contact surface temperature. Actual results vary with controller calibration, coil fit, coil style, quartz mass, banger geometry, room temperature, airflow, inhale strength, dab size, inserts, pearls, residue and other factors. Begin with the suggested temperature and adjust in 25°F increments based on your preferred balance of flavor and vapor production. This calculator will never recommend an E-Nail setting above 700°F.
