How Do I Use My Focus V Carta OG?

• When you first get your CARTA electric dab rig remove the tabs within the battery compartment and connect the base to the included charging cable, the steady blinking of white LED lights should illuminate indicating the Carta is charging. Make sure it reaches a full charge before use, do not exceed 2 hours of charging time. Once the LED lights hold a solid illumination, the CARTA is fully charged.
• Power on your CARTA by pressing the power button 5 times rapidly, you’ll be greeted by all 4 LED lights illuminating white and blinking 3 times.
• After the device is turned on, click the power button one time to select your temperature setting, the Carta will begin to heat automatically, and the LEDs will blink blue repeatedly upon heat up.
• Once the Carta reaches your selected temperature the LEDs will stop blinking blue and instead will hold a solid green light.
• When the lights illuminate green, use a loading tool to drop in your concentrates, place the concentrates at the bottom of the insert avoiding the walls.
• Place the included carb cap on top and inhale slowly.
• Once the LED lights blink white 8 times, this indicates that the battery is low, and the Carta needs to charge.

White Flashing Lights - 8 Times

When your white LED lights flash 8 times, it can signal a variety of potential issues with your portable dab rig though most are easy to fix.

• The most common issues communicated by 8 flashing white LEDs is a dead battery. Check the battery life by clicking the power button 3 times while the e-rig is active.
• Sometimes 8 blinking lights may require you to reset your device by switching the polarity of the batteries. Simply flip your batteries in the reverse direction, close the battery compartment and power up your device. After the Carta is powered up, you can return your batteries to their original position.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try the following steps:

• If the white LEDs continue to blink 8 times, your atomizer may be unseated. Your atomizer’s firing pin must be aligned for the Carta to work properly; the slightest crookedness can trigger this issue.
• If you notice that your atomizer isn’t connected properly, unscrew the atomizer fully and screw in the atomizer to the base again, be sure the threading is not off.
• Make sure that the atomizer is tightened, but not too tight.

Sometimes, the 8 blinking white LEDs can simply indicate that there is excess wax buildup clogging the contact points where the atomizer meets the CARTA base.

• Please clean the Carta connection points with cotton swabs and 91% isopropyl alcohol.
• Make sure to pay special attention to any potential wax gumming up the threading.

Finally, the last issue linked to 8 blinking white LED lights is the most severe.

• This means the heat plate is broken or the threads that have been stripped bare. Unfortunately, this problem requires replacement of parts.
• Refrain from using excessive force when installing the atomizer and allow 30 seconds to cool after use to avoid this issue.

Red Flashing Lights - 7 Times

If you see the red LEDs flash 7 times: your atomizer has an initialization problem. This will require you to restore the atomizer, achieved through a simple 3-step process:

• Make sure that both the room temperature and atomizer temperature are set to 77°F.
• Reattach your atomizer to the base of your CARTA.
• Quickly (within 2 seconds’ time) and continuously press the power button 3 times, then hold the main button for 3 seconds.

It may seem challenging to get both your atomizer and the room temperature to a precise 77°F, but it’s important to get this temperature as close as possible to match the initial factory calibration. You’ll know it worked if your white LEDs flash 4 times. But if you instead see 4 red LED lights flash, it means that the initialization process has failed, and you will need to try again.

Yellow Flashing Lights - 5 Times

If the LED light blinks yellow 5 this usually indicates circuit protection warning.

• Please thoroughly cleaning the threads of your CARTA base with 91% isopropyl alcohol.
• If your threads are squeaky clean and the Carta is still flashing yellow 5 times, you should carefully inspect your heating element for damage.

If the LED lights flash yellow twice this may mean that your atomizer is overheating.
