Quartz E-nail Kit

Quartz E-nail Kit

Quartz E-nail Kits are by far the most popular style enail dab kit. Consisting of a power cord, controller box, enail coil and quartz banger. The quartz banger component is the biggest game changer brought to the dabbing game. Enail bangers have only existed for a few years. Before enail bangers there were dab nails, which utilizes a quartz dish for better flavor. You can see those within our Hybrid E-nail category.

Quartz E-nail Kits completely changed the game, with bucket bangers and terp slurpers, the dabbing experience is completely changed. Enail bangers offer insert options which help customize and increase your dab efficiency. Terp pearls are the perfect example, they spread the wax allowing for even heating, bigger clouds and better efficiency. There are also so many different styles of carb caps which can be used to change the dab experience.

Quartz Enail Kit Frequently Asked Questions

A quartz enail is a dabbing device used to heat a quartz banger or dab nail instead of using a dab torch. E-nails offer precise temperature control and contain 4 parts. A controller box with a power cord, an enail coil, a quartz banger and a carb cap.

Quartz bangers come in a wide range of sizes and styles. Including 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, auto spinner, center core, and standard bucket, among many more! Each style and diameter size of an enail banger provides a different function and experience. With so many different quartz enail options available its easy to find one that fits your personal dabbing preferences!

Known for its impeccable flavor, quartz will capture the essence of all the terpenes available in your dabs. Aside from that, its thermal conductivity allows it to hold a steady temperature for a long amount of time. Quartz Enails are the most versatile type of enail. This is because quartz bangers are compatible with a ton of different dab inserts, carb caps, pearls, and more.

  • Center Core - Increased surface area along with better heat retention.
  • Auto Spinner - Increased airflow for better dab distribution for an evenly efficiently heated dab.
  • Terp Slurper - Max taste and terpene consumption, great for low temp or high temp dabs.
  • Bucket Banger - Standard but the most versatile with the use of different insert styles and carb caps.
  • Column Banger - Has a guard in the middle for less reclaim than a terp slurper banger.
  • Opaque - Crushed quartz bottom for faster heating and higher temperatures.

Quartz Enails are great for dabbing, they provide superior flavor over other options like titanium. The combination of a quartz banger and precision temperature control of an enail controller box, is truly unmatched.

Many dabbers favor quartz bangers because of their flexibility. They are great for both low temp and high temp dabs, withstand high temps, and retain heat exceptionally well. Quartz bangers are also highly adaptable, compatible with many different inserts, carb caps, terp pearls and more. Unlike electric dab rig atomizers or dab pen coils, you can clean quartz bangers to look brand new.

Even after hundreds of dabs, they continue to deliver great taste until they by chance break.

When shopping for a new dabbing set up, you might find yourself questioning which is better, titanium or quartz?

Your personal preference and dabbing style determines the answer to this question. If you prefer higher temperature dabs, better durability, and easier cleaning then opt for titanium. If you prioritize flavor and modifying, lean towards a quartz banger. Quartz Bangers are especially good for low temp dabs but also offer more flavor and can adjust to high temp dabs.

Titanium:
  • Pros: Titanium has a remarkable ability to quickly reach and maintain a high temperature. Titanium dab nails are resistant to cracking and breaking even when subjected to extremely high temperatures. Additionally, unlike quartz, titanium isn't porous, making cleaning much easier.
  • Cons: Titanium heats to temperature quickly which can sometimes lead to issues with overheating. It can also impart a metallic flavor to your dabs because of oxidation and its material.
Quartz:
  • Pros: Quartz Bangers produce some of the best tasting dabs around. Each style of quartz banger has its own unique flair with compatible inserts to add to your dabbing experience. Quartz cools more quickly than titanium but it maintains heat like a champ. Quartz is the mainly the preferred option for lower temperature dabs but they provide great flavor regardless of temperature.
  • Cons: Quartz bangers take a longer amount of time to reach your desired temperature then titanium nails. They are also prone to cracking or breaking with continuous heating and cooling over time and thermal shock. While bangers won't last as long as dab nails, they're inexpensive and easy to replace!

You might see a "20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm" within the product title of our enail kits listed here, at e-nail.com. This does not refer to the quartz banger joint size (where the banger attaches to your dab rig). This actually refers to the bucket or dish diameter of the quartz banger and its matched enail coil.

Your quartz banger diameter size should correlate with the size of your dabs. Having a properly sized quartz banger will get you the most out of each your dabbing sessions. Taking a smaller dab under .2 grams stick to a 20mm banger, if you like taking larger dabs around .3 grams go with a 30mm banger.

The easiest way to break this down is by understanding your bangers saturation rate and its vaporization rate. What does "saturation rate" mean? Saturation refers to your dab "saturating," or making contact with the entire dab-able surface within your banger. How quickly your dab turns into vapor when heated is the "vaporization" rate.

The best dab requires even distribution throughout your dabbing surface for fast vaporization providing bigger rips and less waste. Taking a dab not correctly sized to your quartz banger can cause issues such as "pooling", excess waste, or burning through your dab completely.

To calculate the saturation rate, compare the size of your dab to the size of your banger. The vaporization rate comes from multiplying the banger's surface area by its temperature. Different inserts and carb caps can affect this equation.

Dabbing temperature should be between 450 and 600 degrees Fahrenheit.

Please wait 1-2 minutes after the electric enail coil has reached set temperature for the banger to reach your desired temp . This wait time can vary depending on your quartz banger style, terp slurper bangers usually take the longest to heat.

For a low-temp dab, start with a temperature of 420-475 degrees. After trying a 475-degree dab and you find it lacking, increase your enail temp by 25 degrees until you get the right balance.

Pro Tip: Spinner carb caps with dab inserts, such as terp pearls can increase dab vaporization rate (cloud size) without need to increase the set temperature.

Start your dab at 475-525 degrees for a medium-temperature dab session. After reaching 525 degrees and your rips are still weak, we recommend raising the temperature by 10 degrees. Continue to increase or decrease the temperature by 10 degrees until you find your optimal dab temperature.

For a high-temp dabbing start with 525 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend adjusting the temp by 10 degrees until you find the perfect temperature for you. Dabbing over 600 degrees is typically unsafe and exposes you to hazardous substances.

Combustion of cannabis might cause breathing problems. High-temperature dabs produce larger clouds but lower vapor quality and effects.

Most dabbers looking for tips on how to clean an enail are speaking of cleaning a quartz banger. Cleaning your banger often with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol will preserve the taste of your dabs. Depending on your taste preference, you can swab your quartz after every dab or every session.

Step 1: Cool Your Enail
  • Before disconnecting or cleaning your banger, let your enail cool completely. Working with equipment at room temperature prevents your quartz from cracking.
Step 2: Heating Cycle
  • A heating cycle helps loosen and burn off extra oils if your banger has a lot of residue. Increase the temperature on your enail controller box and let it heat without adding a dab. After a heating cycle is complete, use a cotton swab dipped in iso to remove any remaining residue.
  • **We do not advise using a high temperature heating cycle to clean your quartz banger. Heat cleaning can sometimes cause a quartz banger to chazz or crack. The steps below provide a more thorough and safe cleaning method.**
  • If you see black marks on your banger you can run a heating cycle to help burn them off. However, attempting to burn burnt residue may cause chazzing. To avoid running into this issue all together it is best to clean the banger before any residue from your dabs turn black. Black marks are tough to avoid, especially at high temps, so cleaning the banger right after dabbing will help prevent them from forming.
Step 4: Thoroughly Clean Your Quartz Banger
  • Remove your quartz banger carefully from your enail coil, please remember quartz is fragile so be gentle. Clean your quartz banger or dab nail with an isopropyl alcohol-soaked cotton swab. Remove debris gently, reaching all corners of the banger. Use a cleaner specifically made for quartz for tougher residues.
  • If needed, you can use a soak and rinse formula.
  • Step 5: Clean Coil Residue
    • Check the coil for residue. Use a cotton swab and iso alcohol to carefully remove it. Kick off a heating cycle to burn off harder to clean stubborn residue. Detach your enail coil from the quartz banger before using this cleaning method.
    • This process involves heating your enail to burn off surplus oils. The coil is crucial to your enail's performance, so be careful not to damage it.
    • Try to steer clear of using any abrasive materials when cleaning enail coils. Avoid using abrasive materials when cleaning your coil, it can strip away the protective coating meant to prevent corrosion.
    6) Wipe the Enail Controller Box
    • Wipe the enail unit with a soft cloth or cotton wipes soaked in alcohol. Avoid abrasives and aggressive chemicals that could damage the exterior device. This step keeps the setup clean and sticky-free.
    Step 7: Reassemble Parts
    • Reassemble parts after cleaning and drying. Make sure everything fits securely to eliminate loose connections that could ruin your electric nail's performance.
    Step 8: Connect and Power
    • Reconnect your enail to the outlet and turn it on. Now your clean enail can provide you with your ideal temperature dabs. For enail model-specific cleaning instructions, see your manufacturer. Avoid getting electrical components wet, since this could be dangerous.
    • Following these cleaning tips will prolong and improve your electronic nail dabbing making your sessions more enjoyable.
