How to Clean a Portable Enail using the Grenco Science G Pen Connect
Did you know that the G Pen Connect is one of the most innovative portable enails on the market, with a one-of-a-kind design that enables exceptional airflow, user-friendliness, and power to satisfy your most intense dabbing desires? This setup is known for its phenomenal performance and reliability, with a long-lasting 850mAh battery and variable voltage presets that allow you to make adjustments to output as desired, plus a ceramic heating element featuring patented reverse airflow technology for improved flavor and vapor output.
The G Pen Connect has proven to be a heavy hitter in the dabbing industry, attracting all kinds of dabbing enthusiasts looking for a more user-friendly and consistently performing setup. However, your G Pen Connect is only as good as the way in which you maintain it, which many dabbers learn the hard way. Fortunately, cleaning the device is actually not all that complicated, and offers huge payoff as your flavor and airflow will continue to satisfy your demands.
Why is Cleaning the G Pen Connect an Essential Part of Maintenance?
All vaporizer devices, including those that are electronic and analog, need to be cleaned regularly. The act of flash-vaporizing concentrates allows for debris and gunk to build up in certain areas of the vaping system, and over time, this can be very disruptive to your ability to enjoy satisfying and smooth dabs. Gunk and debris can clog airflow, and can introduce a poor flavor quality into your sessions as well. Further, it can get in the way of your battery connections and the buttons, causing issues with the device’s general functionality.
How Often Should You Clean the G Pen Connect?
In an ideal world, users clean their dabbing devices after each session. This may sound like a huge hassle, but the more frequently one cleans their hardware, the less effort they have to put into each cleaning. However, we recognize that this can be very tedious, and so we’d say that it’s best to clean your entire setup at least once a week if possible – especially if you use it daily. The longer you go without cleaning it, the harder it will be to clean in the future.
How to Clean the G Pen Connect
The G Pen Connect consists of three primary components: the battery device, the atomizer portion and the glass adapter that allows you to connect the overall system to a glass pipe. Each individual component has its own unique maintenance needs, which is why we’ll cover the process of cleaning each component separately.
Cleaning the Glass Adapter
Cleaning the glass adapter perhaps requires the most care because of the more fragile nature of the material. So, be extra conscious of how you’re handling it when its wet so that you don’t accidentally drop it. You can find a replacement glass piece if necessary, but obviously no one wants to deal with broken glass.
To clean it, first remove the glass adapter from your device. Soak it in a specialized cleaning solution such as the ones made by Formula 420 such as their Formula 710 which will allow for use with all the components of your device or several other all purpose cleaners available. Or you can create your own solution of water, salt and isopropyl alcohol. This will help break out any gunk or debris. Try soaking it for a good half hour to really dislodge any film that has developed. The longer it’s been since you last cleaned it, the longer it will take for the solution to do its job. Once the time is up, remove it from the solution and use a cotton swab to wipe down the interior. Then, rinse it under warm water and allow it to air-dry. Particularly dirty glass pieces may require that you repeat this process to do a more thorough cleaning.
Cleaning the Atomizer
The atomizer component of the G Pen Connect can get just as dirty as the glass adapter, and because it’s not transparent like glass, it can be harder to know whether or not your cleaning efforts are paying off. That being said, dissemble the atomizer completely and follow the same process as above, using the same type of solution to soak it so that any gunk or debris becomes loosened. Wipe down each component individually with a cotton swab and allow it to dry. If you’re finding that the cotton is picking up a lot of gunk, we recommend repeating the process entirely.
Cleaning the Device Itself
It is good to clean the device itself as well, because over time, debris and gunk can build up in certain areas in a way that interferes with how the device functions. Primarily, you need to be mindful of the area around the button as well as the connections of the battery.
Cleaning the device requires a completely different method, as soaking the device, or even getting it wet at all, can damage its circuitry. To clean it, take a cotton ball and dip it into isopropyl alcohol or the same all purpose cleaning solutions mentioned above. Make sure it’s not dripping wet. Now, wipe down the entire device, including the more vulnerable areas discussed above. Wipe it down again with a dry paper towel and you’re good to go.
Quick Tips for Cleaning Your G Pen Connect Properly
It is important to develop a thorough and consistent cleaning routine using the proper methods to avoid the accumulation of buildup that can stop you from fully enjoying what this advanced system has to offer.
Tip #1: Never use an abrasive material to clean your G Pen Connect, like steel wool or a scrubbing agent, as this can damage the materials.
Tip #2: Never use a harsh cleaning agent like beach or a kitchen cleaner, as the chemicals in these cleaners can be extremely dangerous to inhale.
Tip #3: DO NOT place any components of the G Pen Connect in a dishwasher, as the materials cannot withstand the high temperatures of a dishwasher and may easily slip through the cracks of the dishwasher rack and break.
Tip #4: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for more detailed maintenance information.
