If your enail is set up properly, turned on, and you have set it to your desired temperature but the digital display shows that the coil is not heating up, you might need a replacement coil. This does not mean that the controller box is defective. 

Your banger should fit comfortably into your coil, any additional space in between allows room for the quartz and metal to expand and contract as it heats and cools appropriately. As long as your banger is being heated evenly and to your desired temperature having a gap around 1mm shouldn't be a concern!

If you are experiencing uneven heating, please be sure to check your coil connection to make sure it isn't sitting lopsided. This could be resolved with a simple fix like rotating your o-clamp or it could be a bigger issue like a warped coil. If you have any questions please contact our live chat for more guidance!
