How to Clean Puffco Peak

More dabbers are finding the Puffco Peak to be an absolute blast. This device offers some of the finest flavor and control over any vaper’s experience with their favorite concentrates. As a highly efficient smart  dab rig, it’s extremely user-friendly and simple to maintain, while offering loads of advanced features that allow you to customize many aspects of your experience.

But, the reality is that even the smartest and most advanced electronic dab rig vaporizers on the market require cleaning in order to be able to continue functioning properly and satisfying your dabbing needs with excellent vapor output as well as flavor. The good news is that cleaning the Puffco Peak is actually quite straightforward, especially when you use the various cleaning products available at E-Nail.com.

Cleaning the Puffco Peak: What You Need to Know

Any vaporizer device needs to be cleaned regularly, and there is simply no way of getting around that, whether the device is electronic or analog. Over time, the vapor that we seek out begins to cause a layer of film or gunk to develop, especially within the chamber and airflow passages. From there, electronic vaporizers can malfunction if debris and oils begin to develop around or in the buttons, connections, and other crucial parts.

The  Puffco Peak is no exception. Cleaning it regularly is absolutely essential if you want to keep savoring your beloved concentrates and enjoying the many features of this device. So, how often should you clean it? If it were up to us, we’d say it should be cleaned after each time you use it. We know that sounds tedious, but keep in mind that if you clean it after each use, cleaning will actually be easy.

Cleaning gets increasingly difficult and time-consuming when you allow gunk and film to build up over time, as not only does this create more cleaning, but each time you fire your device, that gunk or film can harden and be more difficult to remove later on.

So that being said, if you clean your device after each time you use it, you will find that it operates wonderfully, and that the flavor is always absolutely superb. If, for some reason, you cannot keep up with this, then cleaning it after every third or fourth use will have to do. Waiting longer than that can cause a disappointing vaping experience.

Also, if the device has never been cleaned, then of course, the first time you do clean it, it is going to take considerably longer than it will moving forward. Not to mention, if you’ve used it quite heavily before the first time you’ve cleaned it, more advanced cleaning methods may be required, such as the use of more aggressive  cleaning solutions that can thoroughly dissolve all of that buildup.

There is another reason to clean your device regularly- hygiene. We underestimate just how many germs we can transfer to our Puffco Peak, and this is especially important if you’re a generous person who likes to let your buddies use the device when they come over. Between the germs on our hands touching the device itself, and our mouths constantly making contact with the mouthpiece, that is a lot of microbial activity that can be living on your vaporizer.

How to Clean the Puffco Peak: Best Methods and Cleaning Products

Here is where we will walk you through the basic process of cleaning your Puffco Peak, while also including specific cleaning products that have been proven to work on this device based on the experiences of our customers as well as ourselves.

Step #1: Take apart your Puffco Peak as much as is allowed. In other words, only take apart the components that are meant to come apart. If you need help, the user’s manual will provide more insight.

Step #2: Get to cleaning. Start with the glass pieces, where the most gunk tends to develop. We recommend using Formula 710, which is a nontoxic cleaning solution that can dissolve gunk and other forms of buildup without any scrubbing required. We also recommend using the Glob Mops to apply the solution gently but effectively as needed and dislodge any larger pieces of gunk or debris. These products are made from soft, non-abrasive cotton to protect the materials of the device.

If your mouthpiece requires more intensive cleaning, use the  Formula 420 Cleaning Plugs after pouring Formula 710 into the piece to plug it up. This way, the solution will be able to sit inside the piece to break down more advanced film and buildup. Allow it to soak overnight if possible, as this will make it extremely easy for the buildup to simply wipe off the next day.

Step #3: Now, you’ll want to use the same two products to clean the connections of the device, as once they’re dirty they can fail to allow for a proper connection. Also, clean around the buttons of the device, and then wipe down the entire device with more cleaning solution and some type of non-abrasive cloth.

Step #4: Give each component a once-over to make sure that everything is as clean as possible. Allow every component to air-dry.

Step #5: Put your Puffco Peak back together as required and operate it as you normally would.

What Not to Do

  • Dishwasher Cleaning: DO NOT put your Puffco Peak in the dishwasher. This will destroy the circuitry of the device and cause it to never work again.
  • Using Other Types of Cleaners: DO NOT use cleaning products not designed for devices that involve inhalation. Bleach, Windex, and other common cleaners can be extremely harmful to inhale, even in trace amounts left behind after cleaning.
  • Using Abrasive Materials: Abrasive materials like steel wool will destroy the materials of your device and make it harder to clean them next time by creating small cracks into which buildup can develop.
